RESEARCH ON SEISMIC BEHAVIOR OF DUCTILE CORRUGATED STEEL PLATE SHEAR WALL

  • A trapezoidal corrugated steel plate shear wall with high elastic-plastic buckling load and large ductile deformation capacity was proposed. The effects of wall panel parameters on hysteretic characteristics, failure modes and seismic performance were studied based on experimental research and numerical simulation. The results show that the specimens of corrugated steel plate shear wall present excellent hysteretic characteristics. The buckling of wall panels occurs in the elastic-plastic stage with large deformation, and the elastic-plastic buckling drift ratio can exceed 2%. The buckling drift ratio and bearing capacity have significant improvement with the increase of panel width-thickness ratio. The increase of the corrugated angle of panel results in minor increase of the buckling drift ratio and bearing capacity. In addition, the increasing aspect ratio may lead to a reduction of the buckling drift ratio, and accelerate the degradation process of the post-buckling bearing capacity as well.
