EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON SEISMIC PERFORMANCE OF PRECAST LAMINATED SHEAR WALLS

  • Cyclic loading tests of three integral precast laminated reinforced concrete shear walls and one conventional reinforced concrete shear wall were conducted to study the seismic performance of integral precast laminated shear walls. The hysteretic loops, skeleton curves, rigidity degradation processes, energy dissipation, ductility and failure patterns of the test specimens were investigated. The cooperative work performance of the precast and cast-in-situ parts of the laminated walls and the influence of different construction techniques on the shear wall's seismic performance are discussed. The test results indicate that: 1) the main failure mode of the specimens is shear failure; 2) the bearing capability, failure pattern and seismic performance of precast laminated shear walls are similar to cast-in-situ walls; 3) there is no vertical split crack found at the joint surface between the precast part and cast-in-situ part of the wall, showing that these two parts are working in coordination; 4) different construction techniques have no significant influence on the bearing capacity and deformation behavior of the laminated shear walls.
