Abstract
A numerical method is developed to simulate two dimensional cavitation phenomenon by the preconditioning method, including a flux difference scheme similar to Roe scheme,a modified
turbulent model, and a dual-time implicit LU-SGS method. The source terms are added into governing equations to apply for axisymmetric configurations. Two dimensional hydrofoil and axisymmetric hemispherical bodies are computed in terms of all-wet flow, cavitation, and supercavitation. The method is effective and can predict all-wet flow and the development of cavitation and supercavitation for both two dimensional and axisymmetric configurations.
