MULTI-LEVEL SEISMIC DAMAGE EVOLUTION ANALYSIS

  • Based on the element coupling technique, multi-level damage performance definition and multi-level seismic damage model, the multi-level seismic damage evolution analysis method for the RC frame structure was presented in this paper. This method aimed to analyze the nonlinear behavior in both material level and structural level during the damage accumulation process under seismic actions. According to the energy-conservation theory applicable to the coupled section, the element coupling technique was established which reflects the structural mechanical properties and the damage details. In accordance with the damage characteristics of different levels, the multi-level damage performance system was presented as the damage evaluation criterion. Moreover, the multi-level seismic damage model was built up according to the presented equivalent deformation principle and the relationship between generalized force and deformation. Finally, the multi-level damage evolution analysis method was illustrated through the test of one real RC frame structure.
