Abstract:
In order to propose a criterion for distinguishing two failure modes of single-layer reticulated shells subjected to earthquakes, seismic responses of single-layer reticulated shells are analyzed with the full-range responses method considering material damage accumulation (relationship between responses and peak accelerations of dynamic actions). This criterion can guide the structural practice in seismic areas. The failure characteristics of reticulated shells with different failure mode are described. Then, according to results of parameter analysis, the mathematics model based on fuzzy synthetic evaluation method of fuzzy mathematics is established, which is used to distinguish the failure modes. Finally, the efficiency of the fuzzy synthetic evaluation model is validated.
