SIMULATING ELASTIC PROPERTY AND FAILURE PROCESS OF HETEROGENEOUS BRITTLE MATERIALS BY BE ROW-SUBDOMAIN APPROACH

  • 摘要: 该文采用边界元行列子域法,对格子形式的非均匀脆性材料的弹性性质和破坏过程进行了数值模拟,研究了各种非均匀因素对于等效弹性模量和破坏强度的影响。结果表明:随着材料非均匀度的增加材料的等效弹性模量和破坏强度逐渐降低,并且破坏强度的降低程度超过等效弹性模量的降低程度。当组分材料间的界面为非理想界面,界面破坏强度低于组分材料的破坏强度时,非均匀材料的破坏强度还要进一步降低。

     

    Abstract: In this paper, the chain approach of BE Row-subdomains, as well as the corresponding formulation, is developed to simulate the elastic property and failure process of heterogeneous brittle materials. Systematical numerical simulations for various situations have been performed, and the effects of different factors on the elastic property and failure strength have been examined. The results have shown that the heterogeneity reduces the failure strength of materials more severely than the reduction of effective Young’s modulus. If the strength of interface layer is lower than the failure strength of ingredients, the failure strength of heterogeneous material will be further reduced.
