DECONTAMINATION EFFECT EVALUATION OF PERMEABLE PAVEMENT FILTER LAYER MATERIALS

  • Purification performance of six selected permeable pavement filter materials was tested and evaluated through utilizing self-made indoor laboratory equipments and artificial pavement runoff water samples, based on the determined pavement runoff pollutant index. According to pollutants removal performance of different filter materials, this paper proposed filter materials composite structure models which are applicable to pavements with different pollution status. Studies have shown that paving filter layer materials in permeable pavement can efficiently reduce pollution concentration of pavement runoff, and has significant effect for polluting groundwater.
